"While you read this caption, I'd like you to bob or nod your head continuously as you speak. This is what I sound like when I have to roll over cobblestones or uneven bricks like these! They don't stop me from where I want to go, but they sure shake things up for me! I work in the historic district of downtown Charleston and have to traverse all manner of slate, brick, and cobblestone to reach my destination. Sometimes I can go around. Sometimes I can't and have to detour around a city block to avoid these." -Doug |

"This set of pictures deals with picking up small objects from the floor. The reacher that is sold in stores requires the ability to squeeze the lever for the clam to close. Since I do not have that ability, I have created new ways to pick up objects. Some of my 'tricks' use everyday objects, such as this Christmas wreath hanger!" -Alex |

"This is just showing bad, bad sidewalk condition on Isle of Palms, things that need to be fixed. There's quite a few of them because, see, that sand shifts and all, which is hard, but still like downtown and stuff, you know it's just anywhere." - Charlie |

"That's here at Frankie's. He wanted me to ride the go-cart but, you know, the barrier to that is you can't get in the go-cart. But we wanted to have fun anyway. So my brother said, if I would do that for him. And I said, how am I going to get in this thing? So he says, I'm gonna pick you up and put you in. So he put the wheelchair to the side and he picked me up and he put me in it because I had never ridden in a go-cart in my life before. And we rode it good!"
